Understanding self & others - TA 101 An introduction course to Transactional Analysis for anyone interested in understanding and developing themselves, understanding others and the relationships between ourselves and others.
It is useful for continuing professional development for anyone in the helping professions.
The 'TA 101' workshop is also the official introduction to Transactional Analysis and a necessary requirement if you wish to train further in TA Psychotherapy.

at the peaceful and relaxing venue of Llwyn-yr-eos, Rhydlewis. The workshop includes a comprehensive workbook. Lunch is provided using locally sourced produce. The cost of this 2-day workshop is £100.
Continuing Professional Development:
Should you want to deepen your knowledge and understanding of TA you can participate 10 weekends (Sat & Sun). A CPD certificate will be issued on completion. Cost: £1200 for 10 week ends. The training year start 1 October 2016.

Psychotherapy & Counselling Training:
At the West Wales Institute we provide the opportunity for people to train as psychotherapists and counsellors. The training courses are part-time and flexible, leading to national qualifications. It is possible to obtain a Diploma in Counselling (TA) after three years of training, fulfillment of course requirements (assignments, case study, presentations) and some additional requirements (personal therapy, client work, etc.) The cost for each training year is £1200 for 10 week-ends. If you continue your training you can qualify as a Certified Transactional Analyst: this requires at least 5 years of training, fulfillment of course requirements (assignments, presentations, case study, etc) and additional requirements (personal therapy, client work, etc.). Our aim is to enable people to train to become competent practitioners who adhere by the ethical and professional guidelines of the Institute of Transactional Analysis, UKCP and BACP.
The start date for the next training year is 1 October 2016.
